Though Jayanta was behind the album Eta Bindiya, he did not sing a single song. This album was launched just to promote his niece Sangita as a soloist. Sangita’s distinctive voice was what prompted Jayanta to experiment with new forms of compositions. However, the album failed to set the trend despite making all songs in the album oriented to a new songwriting pattern.
Every song in the album revolves thematically around fantasised world of teen girls. Eta Bindiya, Eidi Talli, and Ngasi Nongalamdai are some of the prominent songs. The title track Eta Bindiya harmonises well with Jayanta’s well-balanced rock and roll fusion. He played the guitar in all the tracks.
