The significance of this album lies with the fact that it was during this time Jayanta began toying with the experimental form which later became the hallmark of Tapta. The main drawback of this album was that the songs were sung by various artistes. Jayanta sang just two – Thangjing Lai and Bimol in the album. This particular album was literally buried for a long time without notice soon after the first week of its release. Call it irony or fate, Thangjing Lai became a hit in all LIVE tours and concerts after Jayanta hit the stage as Tapta with The Power of Attraction in 1996. Thangjing Lai reincarnated into Thangjing Lai Laimangdud in his Series-1 album titled Basanta Kainarabi Gulap released in 2001. Thangjing Lai Laimangsida became even more popular after the release of its music video which was uniquely utilized in the Manipuri feature film Khongul (2006).
